ApexTracker uses your iPhone's IMU (gyroscope and accelerometer) to measure lean angle during ride recording. You'll see your max lean and average lean per ride. Accuracy depends on proper phone mounting.

Our VIN decoder uses the NHTSA public database to automatically retrieve your motorcycle's make, model, year, and specifications when you scan or enter your VIN. It also powers our recall safety alerts.

Pro's IMU-based crash detection runs during active rides and navigation, but only above 15 mph to prevent false alarms (parked phone falls, gloves fumbling). It combines impact, speed drop, and stillness signals. A 60-second countdown with audible alarm gives you time to cancel a false positive. If you don't cancel, ApexTracker sends an SMS with your GPS to your emergency contacts via server-side dispatch — no carrier fees, no SIM dependency.

Pro scans your route before navigation even starts — if a thunderstorm sits at mile 80 of your 100-mile ride, you hear about it before you pull out of the driveway. Then it monitors continuously every 5–10 minutes. High winds, gusts, low visibility, freezing precipitation, lightning, and thunderstorms trigger spoken safety alerts. You can configure sensitivity, look-ahead distance, and audio/visual independently.

Ensure your phone is securely mounted in a vertical position on your handlebars. Calibrate the sensors by going to Settings > Calibrate Sensors before your ride.

Check that you have granted location permissions (Settings > ApexTracker > Location > Always) and that you have an active internet connection.

Ensure you have sufficient storage space on your device and that ApexTracker has permission to save data. Try restarting the app if the issue persists.

Make sure the receipt is well-lit, flat, and in focus. Our OCR works best with clear, high-contrast images. You can also manually enter information if OCR fails.
